시차적응을 계획하자


해외로 이동을 하면 가장 짜증나는것이 바로 시차적응이다.
몸의 생체시계는 밤이라고 인식하지만 현실은 대낮이다.

그러면 몸은 잠을 자야한다는 신호를 보내고 그냥 잠들어버린다.

그러던중 괜찮은 사이트를 찾았다. 
JETLAG rooster이라는 사이트이다.




일단 나의 비행 스케쥴과 여행지 그리고 평소 취침시간을 입력하고 
여행전 며칠전부터 준비가 가능한지 입력을 하면 계획을 짜준다.




보는것처럼 전역전 3일부터 취침시간을 1시간식 앞으로 당겨 
몸이 일어나는 시간을 시애틀 시간에 맞게 설정한다.

계획을 보면 언제자고 언제 햇빛을 봐야하는지까지 아주 자세하게 계획해준다.

미국으로 가는 비행기에서는 잠을 자면안된다.
이 부분은 전혀 몰랐는데 비행기에서 볼만한 것들을 준비하면되겠다.

Guidelines
  • Seek light means try to get as much light as possible. Spend time outside in sunlight (even if it's cloudy) or near a bright window. If it's dark out, seek bright artificial light, preferably from a portable light box. Intermittent light works, but try to stay in light for as long as convenient.
  • Avoid light means avoid as much light as convenient and safe. If sleeping, turn off lights and close curtains, or wear a sleep mask. If awake, wear dark sunglasses if not driving, or blue-blocker sunglasses if driving.
  • Sleep ideal means that sleep is ideal during this period.
To reduce travel fatigue
  • During the flight:
    • Drink a lot of water (rather than tea, coffee, or alcohol)
    • Eat fruit
  • Upon arrival:
    • Drink a lot of water (rather than tea, coffee, or alcohol)
    • Take a shower
    • Take a 20-minute nap if needed
